Multimedia online won’t kill print journalism, print journalism will

This somehow managed to be pertinent to journalism:

The fallacy that I currently find entertaining is the belief that multimedia – more specifically video – will save journalism. There are many journalists I encountered at the Indianapolis Star who were worried online video would replace print journalism. I told them if radio and TV didn’t replace print journalism, online video would not.

On the contrary, bad writing will kill print journalism, silly gooses.

And failed business models of course.
